What is a Transsexual?

How does the Transsexual differ from other Transgendered people?

A person who is Transsexual has a strong desire to permanently change their body's sexually-dysmorphic characteristics-including their sex organs to that of the opposite of their birth sex.

True transsexuals make up on a small part of the Trans-Gendered Community, and vary greatly from Transvestites,Drag Queens, Gender Queer, Inter-sexed, and TransGendered individuals.

Pre-Operative Transsexual

The pre-operative, or "pre-op" transsexual is an individual who has permanently altered their gender-dysmorphic(secondary sex characteristics) through hormone therapy and/or surgical procedures, and who lives continuously the new gender role, but has not yet undergone Sex-Reassignment Surgey(SRS).

Post-Operative Transsexual

The post-operative, or "post-op" transsexual has undergone the SRS, and now has functional genitalia that is opposite of their birth sex. They have fully transitioned into their gender,
